Your puppy is biting, jumping up or refusing to settle
Walks have become something you dread rather than enjoy
Your dog lunges, barks or reacts to other dogs or people
You've tried everything and nothing seems to stick
You just want to feel confident and in control again
You're not alone, and it doesn't have to stay this way.
Most dog owners hit these moments. With the right support, things can change faster than you think.
I believe every dog is an individual and not a problem to be fixed, but a living creature doing their best with what they know.
My training is force-free, reward-based and rooted in the latest canine science. That means no punishment, no intimidation, just clear communication, realistic goals and methods that build genuine trust between you and your dog.
Sessions are always tailored to you and your dog. I come to your home, work in your environment and focus on the real-life moments that matter most to you.
I'm also a qualified Dynamic Dog Practitioner, meaning I look beyond behaviour to consider whether pain or discomfort might be playing a role. It's something many trainers miss, and it can make all the difference.
The result? A calmer dog, a more confident owner and walks you actually look forward to.
Dog Training with Amanda didn't start in a classroom, it started with my own reactive dog.
She was lovely at home, but the moment we stepped outside everything changed. Lunging, growling, showing teeth, barking at anything that moved. I was embarrassed, exhausted and completely lost. I didn't understand what was happening or how to help her.
When I finally got the right support and realised she wasn't being aggressive, she was scared, absolutely everything changed for me. That moment of understanding is what drives everything I do now.
Alongside my training practice I work within a veterinary practice, keeping me closely connected to dog welfare and the bigger picture of their health. I'm also a qualified Dynamic Dog Practitioner, trained to spot whether pain or physical discomfort might be affecting your dog's behaviour — something that's more common than most people realise.
I know what it feels like to be that owner on the end of the lead, not knowing what to do. That's exactly why I do this.

Sometimes behaviour isn't about training at all.
If your dog has suddenly become snappy, reluctant to move, or is reacting in ways that don't quite make sense, pain or physical discomfort could be playing a role. In fact, research by Daniel Mills suggests that around 80% of dogs showing behaviour problems had undiagnosed pain.
As a qualified Dynamic Dog Practitioner, I'm trained to look beyond behaviour and consider the whole dog, how they move, how they hold themselves, and what their body might be telling us.
My in-depth assessments include:
A review of your dog's movement and posture
Video and photo evidence analysis
A full background history
A detailed written report for you and your vet
This could be the missing piece you've been looking for.

When I'm not training I'm usually out walking with my own two dogs, a Labrador x Collie and a Labrador x Pointer (probably!). At home I juggle a busy family life with two boys, attempt aerial hoop classes and bake far too much.
I started this work because of my own dog and I've never lost sight of what it feels like to be a struggling owner. That's what keeps me doing this, and doing it properly.
