QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

As a committed dog training professional, I hold several recognised qualifications to provide the highest standard of care and expertise to my clients. My learning journey is ongoing, ensuring I stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in dog training and behaviour.

I am proud to have achieved an OFQUAL Level 3 qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour, and Welfare, with The DoGenus Institute, demonstrating my in-depth understanding of dog behaviour and well-being.

Currently, I am expanding my knowledge through studies with The Dog Trainer School and The School of Canine Science. I am also a proud member of the Dog Trainer School, where I have passed their Reactivity Course both Level 1 & Level 2, further enhancing my skills in working with dogs who struggle with fear, anxiety, or challenging behaviours. I am currently undertaking their Scent Instructor course. When I’m not teaching or running classes, you’ll often find me immersed in a dog training book or writing essays on canine behaviour and welfare—because every little bit of knowledge helps me deliver better results for you and your dog. I am also a Professional Gold Member of the Pet Professional Network (PPN), an internationally renowned organisation that supports ethical, kind, and trusted pet professionals. PPN collaborates with world-class training and behavioural institutes to raise animal welfare standards, while also offering members valuable business and mindset coaching.

As a PPN member, I’ve undergone a thorough personal assessment to ensure I align with their force-free and fear-free philosophy. Through this supportive network, I benefit from ongoing coaching and mentorship, allowing me to deliver long-term, effective support to my clients.

As a fully qualified Dynamic Dog Practitioner, I can help you spot signs of discomfort and relay them to your vet so that you and your dog find relief sooner, whilst helping you manage your dogs behaviour. I can be found here: https://association-ddp.newzenler.com/find-a-practitioner

Pain is not always a limp or a whine! Pain related behaviour is extremely complex. Dogs don't often show that they are in discomfort in ways we would usually expect, it is often subtle and goes unnoticed for weeks, months and even years! So if your dogs behaviour has changed suddenly or has been to the vets and things aren't resolved and you are still having 'behaviour' issues, it may be worth a chat.

In a recent study carried out in Lincoln University by Daniel Mills, it was found that approximately 80% of dogs that presented with behavioural issues had some form of undiagnosed pain that was a direct cause or adding to a problematic behaviour.

I am dedicated to bringing the very best to dog owners in Crawley, Horley and the surrounding West Sussex area. Whether you’re looking for puppy training, fun activities like Canine Hoopers, or general dog training, you can trust that my qualifications and continuous professional development are focused on improving the bond between you and your dog.

To provide my clients with absolute confidence, my practice is officially listed and vetted by Yappily. Whether we are working on core training skills or deep-diving into your dog's biomechanics, this accreditation reflects my commitment to the highest standards of canine welfare and professional excellence.
